City Tour and Pachacamac Ruins

At an agreed time, we will stop by your hotel to pick you up and start our adventure through the City of Lima. LIMA ANCESTRAL We begin our tour with a panoramic view of the “Pucllana Pyramid”, a magnificent ceremonial and archaeological center built in the 4th century AD. and considered "sacred town" by the Incas. COLONIAL LIMA We visit the Historic Center of Lima, where you will appreciate more than fifty monuments and colonial buildings, highlighting the Paseo de la Republica, the Plaza San Martín, the Plaza Mayor, the Government Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, the Cathedral Basilica, the Palace Municipal among others. We will visit the MONUMENTAL COMPLEX OF SAN FRANCISCO, which constitutes the largest sample of colonial religious art in America. The visit to its underground crypts known as "Catacombs" stands out. CONTEMPORARY LIMA Get to know the most traditional residential areas of Lima, El Olivar de San Isidro, Miraflores and Larcomar. We will visit the archaeological complex of Pachacamac, it is one of the most impressive archaeological sites on the central coast of Peru, located in the Lurín valley 31 km from the city of Lima. The place was a settlement of pre-Inca cultures as well as the Inca culture, which worshiped Pachacamac, the creator of the world. Pachacamac was considered the most important divinity of the Central coast. We will visit the Site Museum which exhibits archaeological pieces found in different excavations, such as ceramics, textiles and the famous wooden idol that the ancient settlers venerated since before the Inca civilization on the central coast and that with its presence the idol was renamed to Pachacamac.
