The Abode
Kilometres of white sand, the warm northern Pacific, and the steady sun that makes Máncora the one Peruvian beach resort in peak season year-round. Arennas holds a privileged position above Las Pocitas, the quietest stretch of the coast, with twenty-four rooms stepped along the cliff and bougainvillea gardens descending to the sea. Silence and the ocean breeze are the only constant sounds.
The Beach Suites, in the first row with terraces opening directly onto the sand, are the natural choice; for families, the Family Suites with two rooms and shared pool. Tabu works with catch from the northern Pacific — corvina, mero, Tumbes prawns — and serves a classic ceviche lunch on the beach terrace; dinner moves indoors to a refined Peruvian menu. The evening pisco sour, facing the Pacific, is obligatory ritual.
