Belmond Sanctuary Lodge

The Sanctuary Lodge is the only hotel inside the Machu Picchu sanctuary: thirty-one rooms beside the gate of the citadel, set in cloud forest. The scale is intimate and the position has no equal: Machu Picchu is in view from the hotel, and the entrance to the site is a few minutes' walk away.

The day begins facing the mountain. Breakfast is taken with the mountain of Machu Picchu in front of you, as the mist lifts slowly, and that view is reason enough to spend a night here, or two.
