What a Journey Costs, and Why
How Kada thinks about the investment in a private journey to Peru — with transparency about what it costs, and what is included.
At Kada, no two journeys are the same. Every trip is handcrafted from the ground up, entirely private, and tailored to the traveller's interests, style, and pace. Rather than pre-set packages or fixed departures, Kada designs seamless, all-encompassing itineraries through the eyes of specialists who know Peru intimately.
As a guide, Kada journeys typically start from around USD 1,200 per person, per day. This includes handpicked rooms in 4- and 5-star accommodations, all ground services, domestic flights, and Kada's named in-country support from the moment a traveller arrives until they depart.
The design process begins with a complimentary consultation with one of Kada's travel designers — without obligation, without fee. Unlike many bespoke operators who charge a separate trip design fee, the architecture of the journey is included in the investment. The traveller pays for the journey, not for the conversation that shapes it.
As a guide
per person, per day
This is a starting point for 4-star itineraries with private guides, ground services, and domestic flights. Investment scales with hotel category, duration, season, and bespoke elements layered into the itinerary.
How the journey is designed
Design Is Included
Many bespoke operators charge a trip design fee — typically USD 500 or more — before they begin shaping an itinerary. Kada does not. The complimentary consultation with a senior travel designer, and the design work that follows it, is part of the journey investment, not an added cost. The traveller receives a detailed, tailor-made itinerary before any commitment, with the time and attention a luxury journey deserves.
What Kada Does Not Offer
Kada does not offer standalone day tours or pre-arranged group trips. Every journey is private, fully supported, and shaped around the individual traveller. The work Kada does is the architecture of an entire experience — not the assembly of off-the-shelf parts.
When the Journey Should Be Elevated
Travellers can elevate their journey with suite upgrades at Belmond or Inkaterra Collection properties, the Hiram Bingham luxury train to Machu Picchu, private charter flights, and exclusive access to events and dinners that are not available through standard booking channels. Each element is discussed in the design conversation and reflected transparently in the overall investment.

Hotel Investment
By Category
Hotel category is the single largest variable in a journey's total cost. Kada designs across three tiers — and often combines them strategically within a single itinerary.
Five Stars
Belmond, Inkaterra Collection, Sumaq, Cirqa, Titilaka and equivalents. The most distinguished addresses in Peru.
Suite rates, seasonal premiums, and bespoke additions are quoted individually once the journey's shape is confirmed.
Four Stars Premium
Casa Andina Premium, Costa del Sol Wyndham Premium, select boutique properties. Refined service at a lower per-night rate than Five Stars.
Often paired with Five-Star upgrades on key nights within the same itinerary.
Four Stars
Casa Andina Select and refined equivalent chains. The starting tier — basis for the USD 1,200/day figure.
Every tier above Four Stars adjusts the investment upward.
Solo Travellers
A single supplement applies at most properties — hotel rates are calculated on double occupancy, and solo travellers pay a surcharge that varies by property and season. At certain Kada partner properties, the single supplement is absorbed entirely or partially, particularly for journeys of seven nights or more. Kada flags this option early in the planning conversation.
