Pure Amazon
What sets it apart for us
Most Amazon cruises shape the river around hospitality. Pure Amazon does the opposite — hospitality serves the river. Naturalists, undersea specialists and an in-house photo instructor sit at every dinner; the daily programme bends to wildlife sightings and water levels rather than a fixed schedule; the interiors are pared back, material, and unmistakably expedition. We recommend this ship to travellers who arrive prepared to read the field guide before they unpack.
The discipline of the platform
Sixteen suites, each with a private balcony, host thirty-two guests — a manifest small enough to keep skiffs and briefings tight. A sky deck with a plunge pool gives back what the long observation hours take, and the kitchen, while accomplished, never overstates itself; the meal is part of the day rather than its centrepiece. It is the most rigorous ship on the river, and the only one we send to guests for whom curiosity is itself the reason to travel.
