Inca Rail First Class
A dining car on the move
First Class is Inca Rail's all-inclusive flagship — a long, candlelit carriage where the journey is built around the table. Linen runners, brass detail and warm timber set the register; the open-air observation car at the rear adds an exhale to the meal. Departures align with the soft afternoon light of the Sacred Valley, when the Urubamba turns silver and the cloud forest begins its slow descent.
The menu as the route
A three-course Andean tasting menu is paired with sparkling wine, pisco-led cocktails and live música peruana. The chef leans on local provenance — quinoa, kiwicha, river trout, lúcuma — and the pacing matches the train's. By the time the dessert arrives, the carriages are slowing into Machu Picchu Pueblo, and the meal has done the work that an arrival usually does.
